Scott leads client service for Align Marketing, providing account management and strategic counsel for our clients.
Previously, Scott served as National Director of Marketing Services for Grant Thornton, overseeing industry marketing, digital marketing and webcasting, thought leadership development and production, and market intelligence for the firm. He also served for two years as a member of the firm’s Client Experience Council, and directed content for the firm’s Annual Partners Meeting for 11 years.
Earlier, Scott spent 14 years as CEO/Creative Director of The Champion Agency, a boutique business-to-business marketing agency, and as president of Worldscan Internet Intelligence Services, an online research and development firm. He also served in the business-to-business groups of Grant/Jacoby and Starmark. Scott started his career in B2B public relations, serving as PR Director for Starmark, and in the PR groups of Bozell and Kraft.
Scott earned his BS in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Amy provides creative direction for all Align Marketing clients.
Before starting Align Marketing, Amy led the Design Central group at Grant Thornton, where she supervised a team of designers, artists and a wide network of outside resources. Her team provided design and art direction for print and digital promotion, and video and audio production and editing.
Her responsibilities included directing the U.S. launch of the firm’s new logo and brand standards; stewardship of the firm’s brand standards; design direction for projects ranging from traditional print and animated online advertising, to trade show booths, to articles and white papers and sub-brand logos and graphic identities; and creative direction for such media projects as corporate videos, podcasts and animated commercials.
Previously, Amy served as an Account Executive for TMP Worldwide Advertising & Communications, specializing in recruiting advertising, and in the marketing group at BK Radio/Relm Communications.
Amy earned her BA in Advertising from the University of Kansas.
Ed serves as senior advisor to Align Marketing clients, focused in the areas of marketing strategy, business development and client experience measurement and improvement.
Previously, Ed was partner and Chief Marketing Officer for Grant Thornton in the U.S., where he was responsible for strategic marketing, brand building and managing the firm’s marketing and sales resources. From 2001 to 2010, the firm saw its sales increase from $359 million to over $1 billion. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Russ was national director of marketing for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ $400 million middle-market practice, and before that, he was director of marketing for a global business valuation firm.
Earlier in his career, Ed served as VP of marketing for a series of four startup businesses and created successful brands in industrial services, consumer services and b-to-b electronic funds transfer. All four startups were subsequently sold to strategic investors. At his last startup, Ed was also interim CEO and raised more than $5 million in venture capital.
Ed attended Bucknell University and Kent State University, and received his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
Senior Communications Advisor
A senior communications strategist, Laura brings 25+ years of experience as a corporate communications executive, public relations agency professional and reporter to bear on behalf of Align Marketing clients, developing and executing strategic communications plans that achieve agreed-upon results while protecting and promoting the company’s image.
Previously, Laura was Vice President, Corporate Communications at marchFirst, a worldwide information technology consulting firm headquartered in Chicago where she oversaw executive communications, media relations, internal communications, investor relations and website communications in the U.S., Europe and Asia/Pac. She also served as Brand Manager and Media Relations Manager at Waste Management, Inc., the world’s leading environmental services company in the mid-90s.
In addition to earning a bachelors degree in Journalism and Economics at Indiana University, Bloomington, Laura also holds a masters degree in Spirituality from Loyola University Chicago
Sarah oversees the business-of-our-business at Align Marketing, directing the firm’s finance and accounting, administration, human resources and operations. Sarah also serves as our production manager.
Sarah has also directed operations and administration for RP Active Sports, an industry leading rep group in the active sports industry, and as President of The Champion Agency, Inc., directing that firm’s operations. She started her career with R. R. Donnelley & Sons, where gained expertise in print production, serving as a customer service representative and as a national production planner overseeing rotogravure plants nationwide.
Sarah earned her BA degree in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
